Job Title: PHP Developer

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join our growing team. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications, integrating APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver clean, efficient solutions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about writing high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP (7/8)

  • Work with MySQL (or other relational databases) to design and optimize queries

  • Integrate APIs and third-party services into applications

  • Collaborate with front-end developers to implement server-side logic

  • Ensure performance, security, and scalability of applications

  • Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a PHP Developer

  • Strong proficiency in PHP 7/8 and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

  • Experience with frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter

  • Strong knowledge of MySQL (query optimization, database design)

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON/XML data exchange

  • Proficient with Git and version control

  • Understanding of MVC design patterns

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

  • Familiarity with unit testing and debugging tools

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Docker or containerized environments

  • Knowledge of caching strategies (Redis, Memcached)

  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
