Job Title: Technical Artist (Mobile Games)

About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Technical Artist to bridge the gap between art and engineering for our mobile game projects. You will work closely with designers, artists, and developers to ensure assets are optimized, visually stunning, and performant across a wide range of devices. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for art quality, paired with the technical know-how to implement and optimize assets in game engines.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as the bridge between art and engineering teams, ensuring smooth asset integration into mobile games.

Optimize 2D/3D assets for performance and memory usage across iOS and Android platforms.

Develop and maintain shaders, materials, and visual effects.

Create and implement efficient asset pipelines and workflows.

Troubleshoot and resolve art pipeline issues, from performance bottlenecks to visual bugs.

Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement animated and interactive UI elements.

Ensure that mobile builds maintain visual fidelity without compromising performance.

Provide technical guidance to artists and contribute to best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a Technical Artist, preferably in mobile game development.

Proficiency with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine (Unity strongly preferred for mobile).

Strong understanding of mobile platform constraints (draw calls, batching, texture compression, memory limits).

Experience with shader development and material optimization.

Solid knowledge of asset pipelines (2D/3D models, textures, animations, VFX).

Proficiency with industry tools (Maya, Blender, Photoshop, Substance, Spine, After Effects).

Strong grasp of rendering, lighting, and performance profiling tools.

Good scripting/programming skills (C#, Python, or equivalent).
Nice to Have:

Experience with mobile UI animation and effects.

Familiarity with GPU/CPU profiling tools (Xcode Instruments, Android Profiler).

Knowledge of asset bundles, LODs, and texture streaming for mobile.

Understanding of AR/VR or cross-platform optimization.

Experience working with live ops, content updates, and patching workflows.
